The purpose of the Air Force Museum Society of Alberta and the Air Force Museum of Alberta is to promote an awareness and understanding of the role played by the Royal Canadian Air Force to our country, province and community.

Particular emphasis is placed on the Air Force establishments in Alberta, distinguished Air Force personnel, artifacts related to the history, customs and traditions of the Royal Canadian Air Force, and the history of the Royal Canadian Air Cadet League of Canada.

The Air Force Museum Society supports the Museum in the acquisition, restoration, preservation, and display of artifacts of historical significance to the Air Force.
