August 10, 2016 - 7th Annual Golf Tournament
The Air Force Museum seventh Annual Golf Tournament will be held at SilverWing golf course on the 10th of August 2016. Registration will occur from 1000 to 1245 hours with a Shotgun start kicking off the tournament at 1300 hours. A beef dinner will be served shortly after completion of play followed by a live auction and a draw for door prizes. Tournament prizes will be awarded for low gross, 1st, 2nd and 3rd low net scores. The Air Force Museum and 783 (Calgary) Wing will host the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. Come out and mark this important milestone of the Second World War and Canada's participation.
Grand Opening of the Cold War Exhibit
We are pleased to let you know the development of the Cold War Exhibit is well underway and we anticipate that it will open in the September of 2015. Plan to come out and see the largest project taken on by your Air Force Museum since we started our operation.
More On the Way
We have now acquired a CF-86 Sabre Number 338 for our Cold War Display. It has arrived and the process of preparing has now been completed. Pictured here are Gerry Morrison, John Ink and Dick Kiser.

We have completed the paint of the CF-5 and are just waiting for the new decals to be installed. This is a plan for this spring.

Cold War Exhibit Taking Shape
The New CF-18 Simulator is delivered and the 1AMS Crew that assisted with our project.
Our ever expanding display is coming together with the addition of the Hardened Aircraft Shelters (HAS) being completed and now the aircraft are being placed inside.

March 1, 2014- Search and Rescue
March 1 will mark the museum's tribute and opening of our display for the Men and Women who served with the Canadian Search and Rescue role in the Canadian Forces.
May 12 - AFMA Starts a New Era

July 24, 2014 - Valour Canada Makes Major Contribution
Our museum has received a $250,000 from Valour Canada to support the Cold War Exhibit due to open fall 2015. The exhibit will consist of two Hardened Aircraft Shelters (HAS) in the style from the second world war. They will house a F-86 Sabre, CF-104 and a CF-18 Hornet as representative aircraft from the Cold War era.
