Enjoy the real thing or explore our state of the art virtual tour.

Opened in 2009, the Air Force Museum of Alberta (AFMA) is the newest addition to The Military Museums. The AFMA chronicles the story of Canada's Air Force through artefacts, models, interactive displays, and unique films. Although the Royal Canadian Air Force was not founded until 1 April 1924, the AFMA begins with the 15th century flying machine of Leonardo da Vinci and ends with the modern role of the Royal Canadian Air Force, covering the magnificent legacy of Canada's war-time contributions in between.

We do our best to provide a knowledgeable, well balanced array of exhibits and information about the Royal Canadian Air Force past and present. It is gratifying to see the visitor comments on Google reviews giving us 5 out of 5 stars. Check it out, as well as how to find us at The Military Museums, by clicking on the Google Map.

Alberta is a great place to visit; however, if you cannot come to Calgary in person the next best thing is a virtual tour. We are sure the tour will whet your appetite for a visit to Alberta and in the meantime you can enjoy photos, videos, and exhibits with explanations.

The Military Museums (TMM) is a Canadian Forces tri-servi ce history, heritage, art, research, and educational institution. Take a look around at their virtual presence for an overview of the wealth of history on display.

Finally, test your aviation and Air Force knowledge with our on line test quiz.
